July 25th - 27th

Hope you're all doing well! We're supposed to get some heatwaves this weekend, with heat index values soaring to 108F! Stay safe out there!

Just a heads up, Stout Lane is supposedly closed sometime this weekend, most likely the 28th. If you plan on stopping at the Target there, you'll need to find an alternative path!

With that out of the way, here are the events happening this weekend

Events

Friday - July 25th

  • Summer Brew Fest, Carteret Performing Arts and Events Center, 6:00PM
    A nice indoor event to sample over 40+ independent breweries, along with BBQ and local artisans selling their wares. Once you've gotten your food, you can spend it on the Rooftop Lounge upstairs. Tickets are $40 and include souvenir sampling glass and tastings. Buy tickets here

  • Blue Moon Acres Farm Market, 11 Willow Creek Drive Pennington, NJ 08534, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM 
    Shop a wide variety of local goods, like fresh meats, vegetables, and eggs, along with a wide variety of locally sourced goods. More info here

  • Best of the Eagles, Mercer County Festival Grounds, Old Trenton Road, 6:30PM
    Relive some of The Eagles' greatest hits as Joe Vadala and his "The best of The Eagles" tribute band take center stage at Mercer County's Summer Concert Series. Tickets are $5 and there's free parking. More info here

Saturday - July 26th

  • Annual Canning Class, Terhune Orchids, 330 Cold Soil Road Princeton, NJ, 10:00AM
    Learn more about canning and preserving with this free class taught at Terhune Orchids. You'll get to walk away with a tasty reminder of everything you learned about! Register here

  • New Jersey Punk Rock Flea Market: Summa' Sizzla, 97 Sunfield Ave Edison, NJ, 10:00AM-5:00PM
    If punk is more your speed, then this is the flea market for you! Packed inside the air-conditioned New Jersey Expo Center is hundreds of artists from across the country, live music all day, food trucks galore, and even on-site tattoo artists (If that's your thing)!   • West Windsor Community Farmers' Market, 877 Alexander Road, 9:00AM - 1:00PM
    Shop dozens of local vendors and farmers for fresh produce, jams, goodies and more! See all the vendors and location here

  • Annual Mercer County 4-H Fair, Howell Living History Farm, 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM 
    Join Rutgers in their annual 4-H fair, packed with food, drinks, homemade ice cream, magic shows, and farm tours. Or join the Invitational Goat Pagent, and have your goat judged by local judges. Admission is free, but a donation of a canned good is suggested for Rutgers Against Hunger. More info here

  • FREE Summer Concert Series, Nassau Park Pavilion, 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM
    Enjoy the final installment of the free summer concert series sponsored by Site Centers, featuring soulful local music and free all-ages art activities. The event highlights performances by innovative cellist Dan Kassel and powerful singer-songwriter Johnny Zarfati at 5 PM, followed by Swara, a multi-genre Indian American band blending Indian and Western music in multiple languages, at 6 PM. Sunday - July 27th

  • The Odyssey, Princeton Summer Theater, 11:00AM
    A kid friendly adaptation of the Odyssey is being placed at the Princeton Summer Theater, directed by Lucy Shea. Tickets start at $22.37 and can be purchased here 

  • Winery Weekend Music Series, Terhune Orchards, 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
    Enjoy live music from local artists in a range of styles during the Winery Weekend Music Series this fall and winter at Terhune’s historic apple orchard, with performances every week from 1–4pm. Savor award-winning wines, light fare from the Barn Door Café, and farm-fresh goods in a family-friendly atmosphere—reservations are required only for groups of eight or more. More info here

  • Bluegrass at TileWorks, 130 E Swamp Rd, Doylestown, PA, 1:00PM
    The July 27th show at TileWorks features an exciting lineup of bluegrass bands, including the return of Josh Daniels & Friends, event favorites Serene Green, and the high-energy trio Bob Sutor & Borderline. Doors open at 1:00 PM with music starting at 2:00 PM, promising an afternoon of outstanding bluegrass performances from both local and touring artists. Tickets are $40 and can be found here
