Hey Y'all,

Hope everyone weathered the storm well. Thankfully, we didn't get too much rain near us, and my power stayed on! And it looks like a great weekend for weather, staying roughly in the 60s and 70s Friday through Sunday.

So if you're looking to get out there, here's some things you can check out:

Friday - October 17th

  • Fall Harvest Days, Hillsborough, 12:00 - 5:00PM
    Families looking for fall fun can head to Norz Hill Farm in Hillsborough for its annual Fall Harvest Days celebration, featuring hayrides, a five-acre corn maze, and an expansive pumpkin patch with over 60 varieties.   • Spirits on the Square, Princeton, 4:00 - 6:00PM
    Palmer Square will host “Spirits on the Square” on October 17 from 4 to 6 p.m., inviting visitors to enjoy seasonal drinks, themed treats, and special deals during the fall Happy Hour. Shops will stay open until 8:30 p.m., with live music setting a festive tone.   • Sweeny Todd, Music Mountain Theatre, 8:00PM
    Music Mountain Theatre will stage Sweeney Todd on October 17 at 8 p.m., bringing the Tony Award-winning tale of love, vengeance, and murder to life in 19th-century London. The production follows the vengeful barber and his grim partnership with Mrs. Lovett, whose meat pies take a shocking turn. Tickets are $32, and can be purchased

  • Folk Concert, Princeton, 8:00PM
    The Princeton Folk Music Society will host Grammy-winning duo Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer on October 17 at 8 p.m. at Christ Congregation Church in Princeton. Known for their tight harmonies and mastery of multiple instruments, the pair will perform a mix of folk, bluegrass, and swing drawn from their 35-year career. Saturday - October 18th

  • Artisan Market at Burnt Mill Potters, Whitehouse Station, 10:00am to 4:00pm
    Art lovers can explore local creativity at the Burnt Mill Potters Artisan Market in Historic Whitehouse Station, where artists and makers will showcase pottery, paintings, jewelry, textiles, and woodwork.   • Fall French Market - Flower Sale, Princeton, 10:00AM - 12:00PM
    The Garden Club of Princeton will host its Fall French Market and Flower Sale on October 17 from 10 a.m. to noon at Nassau Street and University Place. Shoppers can browse fresh floral arrangements, potted mums, and Halloween-themed centerpieces, with all proceeds benefiting community projects like the upkeep of All Wars Memorial Park.   • Live music @ Princeton Elks Lodge, Princeton, 12:00PM - 6:00PM
    The Princeton Elks Lodge will host “Live Tunes and Timber Under the Autumn Sky” on October 18 from noon to 6 p.m., featuring live performances by The Blue Wave Ramblers. Guests can enjoy music, food, drinks, a bonfire, and family-friendly activities. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for a relaxed afternoon outdoors.   • Pink out Football Game, Lawrenceville, 10:00AM
    Notre Dame High School will host its annual Pink Out Football Game on October 18 at 11 a.m., as they take on Nottingham in a matchup dedicated to breast cancer awareness. A special halftime ceremony will honor survivors, those in treatment, and loved ones lost to the disease, with participants donating hair to create wigs for patients. The event, organized by ND Cares, continues a heartfelt tradition that last year raised over $10,000 to support local families and health initiatives.   • Halloween Spooktacular, Princeton, 3:00 - 8:00PM
    Families can gear up for a “spooktacular” Halloween celebration featuring children’s activities, live music, and festive drinks. From 3 to 6 p.m., little ones can enjoy face painting, balloon art, and more, while adults unwind at the Triumph Beer Garden pop-up running until 8 p.m. The day concludes with a community movie screening of Hocus Pocus at 6:15 p.m., inviting everyone to bring blankets and chairs for a cozy evening under the stars. Sunday - October 19th

  • Gumbos, Wine, and Music, Stockton, 12:00 - 5:00PM
    The Federal Twist Vineyard will bring a taste of New Orleans to New Jersey on October 19 with “Gumbo, Wine, and Music from the Gumbo Gumbas.” Guests can enjoy an afternoon of live jazz, zydeco, and swing from 2 to 5, paired with hearty servings of authentic gumbo and handcrafted wines.   • Palmer Square Fall Fest, Princeton, 1:00 - 4:00PM
    Princeton’s annual Fall Fest has been rescheduled to October 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. due to weather concerns, promising an afternoon of music, food, and seasonal fun on Palmer Square. The event features live performances by Rachel & Ty and Charles Laurita and the Mischief, plus family-friendly activities like pumpkin carving, tote painting, and face painting. Local shops will offer exclusive promotions while attendees enjoy fall treats from favorite eateries and cozy autumn vibes on the Green. More info

  • Run for Rescue 5k, Princeton, 8:30AM
    The Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad will host its Run for Rescue 5K on October 19 at 8:30 a.m. at TPC Jasna Polana, inviting runners and walkers of all levels to participate. Proceeds support the squad’s mission to save lives, aid the injured, and promote community safety.   • JFCS 5th Annual Bike Ride, West Windsor, 8:00AM - 1:00PM
     Mercer County Community College will host a day of cycling and walking events on October 19, offering routes ranging from a 50-mile challenge to a family-friendly 2-mile walk. On-site registration begins 30 minutes before each route, with fees of $50 for adults and $25 for youth, while children under five join the Fun Walk free of charge. Participants should enter the campus from Old Trenton Road, as the Hughes Drive entrance will be closed to vehicles.  More info
