Hope you're having a fantastic week. Weather is looking good for this weekend. Getting closer to Halloween, super exciting.

For anyone looking to go outside this weekend, here's a bunch of fall festivities going on:

Friday - October 24th

  • Twelfth Night, Lawrenceville, 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
    Rider University’s BLC Theater will stage a spirited musical twist on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night from October 24–26. Infused with Shaina Taub’s lively jazz-funk score, the production promises a joyful exploration of love and identity under the direction of C. Ryanne Domingues, with music direction by Mike Bond and choreography by Jōvan Dansberry. Tickets range from $5 to $25 and are available here
  • Rummage Sale, Belle Mead, 9:00AM - 12:00PM
    Kehilat Shalom in Belle Mead will host its fall rummage sale on Friday, October 24, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and again on Sunday, October 26, from 9 a.m. to noon. Shoppers at 253 Belle Mead/Griggstown Road can browse a wide selection of clothing, household goods, toys, and small furniture.
  • Princeton’s Annual Hometown Halloween Parade, Princeton, 5:00 - 6:00PM
    Princeton’s Hometown Halloween Parade returns this Friday, bringing festive fun to Palmer Square. The parade begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by a trunk-or-treat event and an outdoor screening of Monsters Inc. at the YMCA at 6:30 p.m. This free community event also seeks volunteers to decorate their vehicles and hand out treats, with prizes for the most creative trunks.   • Montclair Film Festival, Montclair, Various Times
    The 14th annual Montclair Film Festival finishes its run through October 26, bringing screenings, panels, and events to Montclair’s vibrant arts scene. Audiences can expect independent films, documentaries, and discussions with renowned filmmakers alongside rising talent. Tickets are available online here or at the box office in the Hinck Building at 486 Bloomfield Avenue.
  • Fall Harvest Festival, Piscataway, 10:00AM - 5:00PM
    East Jersey Old Town Village invites families to celebrate the season with a free fall festival filled with history, music, and autumn cheer. Open for extended hours, the event will feature live performances by the Sawmill Run Old Time String Band, kids’ craft workshops, wagon rides, pumpkin picking, and fall-inspired food from Beastro. Visitors can also enjoy demonstrations on food preservation, traditional letterpress printing, and gardening tips, with free shuttle service connecting the Village and the nearby Cornelius Low House.  Free to attend, more info

Saturday - October 25th

  • Halloween 5K Run, Princeton, 9:00AM
    HomeFront will host its annual Halloween 5K Run, 1-Mile Walk, and Preschooler Pumpkin Dash on Saturday, October 25, at 502 Carnegie Center in Princeton. Festivities include trunk-or-treat fun, live music, and family activities beginning at 9 a.m., with proceeds supporting children’s programs for families facing homelessness. Spectators can enjoy decorated cars and candy giveaways without registration. Registration for the run, as well as more information, is here
  • Flemington Pottery Fall Sale, Flemington, 10:00AM - 4:00PM
    Flemington Pottery will host its Fall Sale on Saturday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 12 Stangl Road. The event will showcase handmade pottery, jewelry, and sculptures by more than 20 local artists, offering shoppers a chance to find one-of-a-kind gifts while supporting the community’s artisans.   • Clothing Swap, Arts Council of Princeton, 11:00AM - 2:00PM 
    The Arts Council of Princeton will host a Clothing Swap on Saturday, October 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., inviting fashion lovers to exchange their gently used wardrobe pieces one-for-one. Partnering with Stylebook, the event will feature a seamstress for tailoring, a custom patch bar, and refreshments. Designer items will count for two swaps, encouraging attendees to refresh their closets sustainably.  Registration is $10, and can be done

  • Pumpkin Palooza, Princeton, 1:00 - 3:00PM
    Pumpkin Palooza returns to Princeton with a mix of art, science, and seasonal fun. Visitors can watch Pezz Glasswork artists Jarryd and Gywn demonstrate the art of shaping molten glass into colorful pumpkins and shop their unique creations. The Princeton University Molecular Biology Outreach Program will add a scientific twist, guiding participants through an interactive DNA extraction from pumpkins. Free to attend, more info

Sunday - October 26th

  • Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, Edison, 8:30AM
    The American Cancer Society’s Making Strides of Central New Jersey will hold its annual breast cancer walk on Sunday, October 26, at Middlesex College in Edison. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m., with the walk beginning at 10 a.m., rain or shine. Participants can walk individually or as part of a team, with all proceeds supporting breast cancer research and awareness. Registration is here
  • Halloween Extravaganza, Princeton, 2:00PM
    MarketFair and The Goddard School of Princeton will host their annual Halloween Extravaganza on Sunday, October 26, from noon to 2 p.m. in Center Court. Families can enjoy pumpkin decorating, face painting, music by Mr. Ray, and more, with the first 500 costumed children receiving goodie bags. Attendees are encouraged to bring new or gently used coats for the Share the Warmth Coat Drive benefiting One Warm Coat. More info

  • Solar Viewing, High Bridges, 2:00 - 5:00PM
    The New Jersey Astronomical Association will host its final free solar viewing sessions for the year this Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m., offering visitors a guided tour of the observatory and the chance to observe the sun safely through filtered telescopes. Qualified observers will lead presentations and answer astronomy questions, with donations supporting the organization’s educational mission. More info here
  • Marlboro Farmers Market, Marlboror, 9:00AM - 1:00PM
    The Marlboro Farmers Market, located on 56 acres of preserved farmland once known as Stattel Farm, continues to connect the community with local growers. Visitors can shop fresh produce, support small farms, and enjoy a lively atmosphere that promotes healthy eating and local business.
