Hey Y'all,

Hope you're having a fantastic week. Thankfully, the snow seems to have subsided, and the weather this weekend looks to be mostly sunny with temperatures in the high teens low 20s.

If you're looking for a break from the cold, here are a few things to help warm you up this weekend:

Friday - February 6th

  • South Brunswick Jazz Café Concert – Gumbo Gumbas, Monmouth Junction, 8:00 PM
    The Gumbo Gumbas will bring the joyful sound of New Orleans to the South Brunswick Jazz Café with their blend of jazz, zydeco, R&B, country, and rock at the South Brunswick Municipal Complex, where doors open at 7:15 PM and admission is $6 at the door with light refreshments and BYOB; more info here.
  • Art and Sound at the Station, Asbury Park, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
    Asbury Park’s First Fridays will bring together local artists, musicians, and makers for a free pop-up art and music showcase at the Asbury Park Transportation Center, offering a lively space for creativity and community connection, more info here
  • New Jersey Sports Card Convention, Freehold, Feb 6 (2:00 PM - 9:00 PM) / Feb 7 (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
    The New Jersey Sports Card Convention at iPlay America will feature dozens of vendors showcasing collectibles, trading cards, and sports memorabilia, offering fans and collectors two days of shopping and networking; tickets are $11.15, available here.
  • The Ocean Avenue Ramble, Asbury Park, 8:00 PM - 11:30 PM
    The Stone Pony will launch its 52nd Anniversary Weekend with The Ocean Avenue Ramble, a co-headlined show by Jackson Pines and Ocean Avenue Stompers featuring folk, horn-driven, and New Orleans-inspired music, including collaborative performances and special guests from the Jersey Shore scene. Saturday - February 7th

  • Maple Sugaring at The Watershed, Hopewell, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
    The Watershed will host maple sugaring sessions where visitors can explore the history, science, and process of turning sap into syrup, with hands-on tapping demonstrations, tastings, and outdoor evaporator viewing depending on weather conditions; registration available for each time slot here.
  • Wine & Chocolate Weekend, Princeton, 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
    Terhune Orchards Vineyard and Winery will celebrate Valentine’s Day early this weekend with a Wine & Chocolate Weekend featuring wine and chocolate pairings from Pierre’s Chocolates of New Hope, live music from 1 to 4 PM, and cozy fire pits at the winery; more info here.
  • Lunar New Year Festival, West Windsor, 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM
    The West Windsor Branch Library will host a Lunar New Year Festival featuring traditional dances by the Princeton Chinese Language School, crafts, games, and snacks to celebrate the Year of the Horse, with activities open to all ages and registration recommended. More info here
  • Perfume Presentations: Curator's Talk and Tea with Susan Arthur, Trenton, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
    The Trenton City Museum at Ellarslie will host curator Susan Arthur for tea and a discussion about the exhibit "A Passion for Perfumes: Vintage Bottles by Lenox and More," exploring the artistry of classic perfume bottles; tickets are $10, with registration available here.
  • Valentine’s Sweet Stroll, Red Bank, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
    Downtown Red Bank’s Valentine’s Sweet Stroll will treat visitors to tote bags, sweets, and a walking map from RiverCenter as more than 35 local businesses offer special sales, crafts, and experiences celebrating the season of love.
  • Beethoven & Grieg, Princeton, 7:30 PM (Feb 7)
    The Princeton Symphony Orchestra will perform works by Jessie Montgomery, Edvard Grieg, and Ludwig van Beethoven at Richardson Auditorium, featuring 2025 GRAMMY winner Michelle Cann as soloist for Grieg’s Piano Concerto; more info here.
      

Sunday - February 8th

  • Beer + Yoga, Hillsborough, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
    Flounder Brewing will host Beer + Yoga, a monthly session led by Savannah Allegra Yoga where participants can enjoy guided mindfulness practice followed by a cold craft beer in a community-centered atmosphere; advance tickets are required, more info here.
  • Hopewell Harvest Fair Open House, Hopewell, 2:00 PM
    The Hopewell Harvest Fair will host an open house at Hopewell Presbyterian Church inviting community members to learn about volunteer opportunities and help plan this year’s fair in the fall, with RSVPs appreciated and more info here.
  • Second Sunday Poetry Readings, Princeton, 4:00 PM
    Princeton Makes and Ragged Sky Press will host their monthly Second Sunday Poetry Reading featuring poets Caroline Johnson and Amy Rosi, followed by an open mic for up to ten participants at the Princeton Shopping Center; more info here.
  • Tall Oaks Farm & Brewery Pop Up, Farmingdale, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
    Tall Oaks Brewery will host a winter pop-up market featuring local farmers, makers, bakers, and artisans offering handmade and homegrown goods in a lively, heated outdoor setting where guests can enjoy craft beer and community vibes. More info here
  • New Jersey Reptile & Exotic Animal Show, Port Monmouth, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
    The second annual New Jersey Reptile & Exotic Animal Show at VFW Post 2179 will feature live animal encounters, educational exhibits, and over 60 vendors showcasing reptiles, amphibians, and exotic pets, offering a full day of family-friendly fun; tickets start at $20, available here.
